The story of Stockmann and Finlayson is one of trust and mutual respect. Stockmann is one of Finland’s most prestigious department stores. The relationship between the two companies dates back to 1867, when G.F. Stockmann first began acting as Finlayson’s agent. Finland was recovering from years of famine and the country now faced a time of plentiful crop yields and the era of ”green gold”. As Finland prospered, the collaboration between the two companies flourished. Their shared journey may have had some ups and downs along the way but a sense of trust has always remained a constant. The Kiseleff collection pays tribute to this long-standing and fruitful alliance. It is created using the finest materials and features historic prints from 1876–1895, the early years of the Stockmann-Finlayson relationship.
