The Kukinta pattern by designer Akiko Tsurusaki is one of the results of the textile design competition organised by Finlayson together with its Japanese licensing partner, Felissimo, to celebrate Finlayson’s 200th anniversary. The theme was to discover beautiful things that you would not want to disappear from the world. Four designs from thousands of high-quality competition entries were included in the collection.

Akiko Tsurusaki participated in the competition with four designs representing the four seasons that we can enjoy both in Finland and Japan, but which are threatened by climate change. The summery Kukinta pattern embodies the relaxed vitality, passion, energy and power of the sun in large summer flowers.

The Kukinta pillowcase is made of plain weave cotton with a thread count (TC) of 152 TC, which attests to the denseness of the fabric. Cotton is easy to care for, feels pleasant on the skin, is durable and can be washed at high temperatures. Combine the Kukinta pillowcase with the duvet cover set of the same series, or use with solid colour duvet covers.

You can rest easy at night, as we never compromise on the quality of the cotton and the product, or the transparency of the production chain. This product is made of 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, the cultivation of which makes efficient use of rain water, and employs organic fertilisers and pesticides. The GOTS certificate makes the organic cotton easily traceable and we know the entire production chain.

The product has been granted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate, indicating that the product contains no harmful chemicals and is safe to use. The product comes with a five-year guarantee.
