The versatile linen Lino kitchen towel can be used in the kitchen as a hand towel, dish towel or baking cloth. In the kitchen, you may want to always keep the towel near the tap so you can avoid splashing water on the floor and surfaces as you move around.
Lino kitchen towels are made from high-quality 100% linen, which makes them naturally ecological. Linen requires very little pesticides or irrigation. Linen is also a long-lasting material that does not pill but, in fact, will look even better and feel softer after each wash. The Lino kitchen towel set contains one striped towel and one towel made of chambray fabric. Chambray is made using a traditional plain weave with a white warp thread and coloured weft thread, giving the fabric a beautiful vivid surface.
The harmonious colours used in the Lino products are from Finlayson’s new colour palette. Finland is a country of a thousand colours, and the most important colours are engraved in our souls. Finlayson has started an ambitious mission to create a new palette of these colours. Every year, we will send a photographer/explorer to document what they experience and see across the country. The first photographer to embark on this journey was Akseli Valmunen. He provided us with eight colours, each with its unique story – where and when it was captured, the exact geographical coordinates, weather conditions and recognisable place. The Lino kitchen towel colour Sand was photographed in Holmanperä, Yellow in Asplund, Heather in Kuikkapuro and Lichen Green in Helvetinkolu in May 2021.
Use the Lino kitchen towels to easily change the look of your kitchen to match the season or your mood. Combine the towels with other Lino kitchen textiles to create a harmonious kitchen. A linen kitchen towel set makes for an excellent gift, particularly at housewarming parties.
To keep the colours bright, we recommend a gentle 30 degree washing temperature for Lino kitchen textiles. The product has been granted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate, indicating that the product does not contain harmful chemicals or dyes and is safe to use.
