Linen is a heavy fabric, smooth and stiffer than other fabrics because it has a low thread count (TC), a special characteristic of linen. This is why linen absorbs moisture well but also dries quickly. As a breathable fabric, linen keeps cool when it’s hot and warms you when the temperature drops. Linen sheets do not pill but, in fact, will look as good as new even after years of heavy use. The more the fabric is washed, the more comfortable and softer it will get. Regular ironing or mangling after washing decreases excessive fibres falling off the product, a trait of linen fabrics.
