Siperia carpet combines 100% beauty, design, craftsmanship and recycled material.

The white-grey Siperia carpet pleases even the most demanding eye and conscience while feeling wonderfully soft and sturdy underfoot. The surface is soft to the touch, akin to wool. It’s almost hard to believe the carpet is made from 100% recycled polyester. The polyester originates from recycled PET plastic bottles. The bottles are crushed and spun into a polyester yarn. Every carpet is hand-woven.

And where are the bottles from? They are collected from shopping centres and restaurants in India, where plastic bottles are used in very large amounts. India also has strong expertise in the production of recycled textiles. That is why we decided to have these carpets produced in India by a responsible and highly competent partner.

How many bottles are recycled for each carpet:
– 90 x 150 cm = about 55–60 recycled plastic bottles.
– 90 x 250 cm = about 80–85 recycled plastic bottles.
– 140 x 250 cm = about 105–110 recycled plastic bottles.

The ends of the carpet are finished with grey edges. Siperia carpets are intended for indoor use and not recommended for use as door mats. Each carpet is unique and bears its maker’s imprint. For this reason, there may be variation in the density of the weave and the surface of the carpet. Potential variations in width should also be taken into consideration. We recommend the use of an anti-slip underlay under the carpet.
