The sleep bag is a brilliant innovation, representing everyday design at its best. It offers a sheet, light duvet and pillowcase all in one. The sleep bag is designed for indoor use, a standard piece of equipment for big and small, which makes life easier for both the overnight guest and the host. The sleep bag is a perfect piece of spare equipment for the home, cottage, boat or camper van.
Take the compact sleep bag with you on a trip and unroll it when it is time to sleep. Slip a pillow into the built-in pillowcase, and the sleep bag is ready for use. On the road, you can use, for example, a folded jumper as a makeshift pillow. In between travels, you can safely wash the bag in the machine at 60° C.
Now available in the Tähtimuumi pattern, the sleep bag includes a light duvet and pillowcase with print and a plain sheet. The Moomins have a lot to celebrate. In 2020, it will have been 75 years since the publication of the first Moomin story, and Finlayson will celebrate its 200th anniversary. The Tähtimuumi pattern sees the residents of Moominvalley throw a big August party to mark the occasion of Moominmamma’s lost handbag being found. Thingumy and Bob have seats of honour as the finders of the handbag. The tables groan under a sumptuous feast and fireworks light up the summer sky. Thingumy and Bob add to the excitement by revealing the King’s Ruby in their suitcase, which immediately enchants everyone in attendance.
The Tähtimuumi sleep bag is made of high-quality, durable 100% organic linen cotton, and the filling of the quilted light duvet is 100% polyester wadding. The top of the sleep bag has a pocket for a pillow, and one of the sides is open at the top to make it easier to slip into the bag. The lower part is baglike. There is no side zipper. The trimmed edges make the bag durable and give it a finished look. Use the ribbons sewn to the lower edge to tie up the bag into a tight roll.
Why the sleep bag? Finlayson’s first duvet covers were made in Tampere in 1964. The duvet cover was a new product, and at first it was also called by other names, such as sleep bag. The story goes that some of the first users slipped inside the duvet cover instead of under the duvet. That’s one way to do it. The design of duvet covers hasn’t changed much since then. In the Nordic countries, the most animated discussions have arisen over duvet covers without hand slits at the top that make it easier to get the duvet inside the cover. At Finlayson, we decided to approach the duvet cover with an open mind, learn more about its history and look at it from a different perspective. This resulted in the sleep bag. The designs of Finlayson’s Moomin products are based on Tove Jansson’s original illustrations and they are genuine © Moomin Characters™ licensed products.

Den är jättefin och bra. Tyvärr är den lite större i ihoprullat format än jag tänkt mig. Men behåller den ändå!
