Duvet for children

Did you know that the Moomins hibernate in the winter and do not wake up until the trees are budding in the spring? The Stream Moomin pattern is as calm and soothing as the ripple of a spring brook.

The Stream Moomin children’s duvet is perfectly warm for use all year round. The outer material of the duvet is high-quality 100% organic cotton and the filling is light and airy 100% recycled polyester. 

The organic cotton we use is GOTS certified. The cultivation of GOTS certified cotton makes more efficient use of rainwater and employs natural fertilisers and pesticides. Best of all, the GOTS certificate makes the organic cotton easily traceable. We can trace the whole path from field to the finished product.

The fibre filling of the children’s duvet is made from recycled PET bottles, mainly collected in Vietnam. Recycled polyester is a more eco-friendly fibre than virgin polyester. It has lower emissions, because the energy needed for production is half of that required for virgin polyester. Approximately 11–14 bottles can be recovered in the production of fibre filling for a single duvet.

The duvet has been granted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate, indicating that the product is safe to use and demonstrably free from harmful substances. The pillow is also allergy friendly, being machine washable at 60°C. 

The duvet’s thermal insulance rating is 3.5 TOG. The size of the duvet is 120 cm x 150 cm and it is suitable for use in a bed sized 75 x 130 cm at minimum. Not suitable for use as a baby duvet in a cot or any similar bed. Not for use with a sleep bag or blanket. Remember to observe the room temperature and the child’s nightwear. Excessive body temperature may be life-threatening for a child! Not recommended for children under 12 months of age. Remember to ensure that the child’s face is not covered. Keep away from open fire. Stop using the duvet as soon as it shows any signs of damage.

Wash in plenty of water. Use only 1/3 of the normal amount of detergent. Reshape to dry. Flat or tumble drying. No dry cleaning.
