Environment and carbon footprint Recycled materials An idea triggered by a campaign to collect used textiles has become a permanent part of our operating model – and very well so. We started by recycling sheets, but soon we extended it to other materials – textile cutting waste, jeans and plastic bottles.
Production and transparency Who makes your sheets? Behind every Finlayson product there is a team of professionals whose appropriate high-quality working conditions and a pay they can live on are of primary importance to us.
Environment and carbon footprint This is how we reduce our environmental impact We want to make products that burden the environment as little as possible. What have we done to reduce emissions and what will we improve next?
Quality and materials More sustainable materials We make continuous effort to improve the sustainability of our products. Materials constitute a considerable proportion of our total emissions, with cotton causing over half of them. For this reason, we replace some of the ordinary cotton in our products with more sustainable materials, such as certified organic and Fair Trade cotton, recycled materials and linen.
Production and transparency This is how our products are made We want to be the most transparent household textile company in the world. Step by step, we are coming closer to reaching our dream.
Production and transparency Learn more about our production We pay attention and ensure that our manufacturing partners play according to our joint rules. We do not manufacture our products ourselves, but we know our responsibility. In the textile industry, supply chains are long and it is challenging to learn to know all the links in it.
Quality and materials Our materials We choose our materials carefully. High-quality materials are durable, and they look and feel good use after use.
Quality and materials Care instructions A textile product is like a relationship. Without care it will fade. By taking good care of a product, its high-quality characteristics are retained and the product’s service life is extended. We always recommend to wash new textiles before use to remove any dust they have gathered at the factory or during transport.
Quality and materials Why do we give a five-year guarantee? Simply because we think that the product is so good. On the basis of almost 200 years of experience, we are convinced of the durability of our products. As a promise of quality, we give a five-year guarantee for our duvet covers, pillowcases and terry towels.
Production and transparency Adequate pay to live on All employees involved in the production of any of our products must receive adequate pay they can live on. Their working conditions must also be appropriate.
