Kielletty puutarha curtain is part of the Vallila x Erika Vikman collaboration collection. Designed by Saara Kurkela, Kielletty puutarha features a snake winding its way among beautiful flowers, with an apple hanging from a branch, a bite taken from both sides. The pattern refers to the Garden of Eden and the Fall, but invites us to look at the story from a new perspective. Kielletty puutarha pattern is a defense of freedom, courage, and living life on your own terms.

Kielletty puutarha curtain is made of 83% cotton and 17% polyester. The curtain is finished with sewn sides and hem, and there is a channel at the top for a curtain rod. The curtain comes with a shortening tape that allows you to easily shorten the curtain by ironing it without sewing.

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), an international cotton production standards system, was established in 2005 to improve the sustainability of cotton cultivation and production by providing more sustainable farming practices for cotton farmers, the environment and the entire industry supply chain. The Better Cotton standards are used in 24 countries and aim to achieve more natural production practices by educating farmers on lighter farming practices that reduce chemical use and conserve water.

The BCI aims to make global cotton production better for cotton growers, the growing environment and the future of the industry. The initiative brings together people and organisations across the cotton sector, from field to store, to promote measurable and continuous progress for the environment, farmers and the industries that produce cotton.
