We have good news for fans of jeans and recycled materials – those well-worn jeans forgotten at the back of your closet are now taking over the kitchen!
During the manufacturing process of the Old Jeans series, which contains recycled fibers, old jeans are crushed and spun into cotton yarn, which is then used to make brand new, usable products for every home. Old Jeans products are not usually dyed, but get their color from their original source, jeans. Unlike the rest of the series, the kitchen products are dyed and also use viscose as a material to give the products a deeper denim blue tone. Beautiful stitching completes the denim look.
The outer fabric of the pot holder is made of the familiar denim twill weave, with 50% viscose, 25% recycled denim, and 25% TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber. The filling is made of a comfortable, flexible, and heat-resistant blend of fibers. The filling is 95% cotton and 5% other fibers. With these oven mitts, you can safely handle hot dishes in the kitchen. Finlayson oven mitts and pot holders have been awarded the CE mark, which means that the product has been tested to provide adequate protection against contact heat.
